My oregano tincture is made from leaves of Origanum vulgare, which is the ideal species for medicinal benefits. I grow these leaves using Permaculture practices (nothing chemical) and tincture the leaves before flowering. This higher ABV extracts desirable compounds that lower ABV cannot and preserves the tincture for longer. It has a sharp taste, so it's suggested to dilute heavily in water before taking. This is NOT an Essential Oil, but an herbal extract. Made on 7/25/25. I make this tincture every other year, so there won't be a new batch until 2027:) This current batch is discounted.
Ingredients: fresh Origanum vulgare leaves, menstruum is Everclear + spring water in 1:2, approx 68-70% ABV
Oregano is a hot aromatic, also anti-bacterial & anti-parasitic. It's diffusive in nature and breaks up stagnation. This is something you may want to take if you have a chest cold or fever with chills, sluggish digestion that isn't moving, or part of a parasite protocol. Oregano is sort of the queen of anti-bacterial plants.... I'm not a big 'kill all the germs' person. I'm not convinced that 'germs make you sick' (look into terrain theory), but I do, however, feel that plants can be a helpful match to certain symptoms. When we feel weak, it helps to take something 'strong'. Oregano is that plant.
