Horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) oil made with locally foraged nuts that I infuse into avocado oil. Horse chestnut contains a desired compound called aescin, which can be extracted using specific processes. I make this oil to capture the aescin, but with minimal esculin: a compound that can create digestive upset if ingested. Even so, please do not ingest this oil, it's for external use only. I don't share my processes for making this oil, but please know that it's much more complicated than just soaking the nuts into a carrier oil. I've done a great deal of research on the best way to extract the desired compounds of horse chestnut, and I hope you can tell this in the finished product! This is NOT an essential oil or a pressed oil - it's an oil infusion. Contains NUTS, please use discretion if you have nut allergies. The oil has a rich nutty scent & absorbs well. It naturally contains vit E, and pairs well with the avocado oil. I provide a made-on date for all my listings, and suggest you use the oil within a year of purchase. Please note that every batch can vary slightly in scent & color. I use a 1:1 ratio for this oil, meaning 1 oz of horse chestnut infused into 1 oz of avocado oil.This oil is refrigerated until sold (you do not need to refrigerate, this is just to maintain freshness, but the oil is shelf stable). Horse chestnuts are famous for their affinity to improve vein health. The chemical compound aescin has properties that enhance circulation, reduce inflammation & strengthen blood vessels. This oil also naturally contains vitamin E, which is fat soluble & can be absorbed through the skin. I don't make promises on how this oil will affect your vein issues - that is between you and the plant. But this is a very nourishing oil, and I feel I have done my job to bring you the best representation of horse chestnut!

So far, so AMAZING. I have an old injury involving damage to fascia and other soft tissue that 'regular' medicine really can't do anything about.. This item shipped fast and was packaged very well. The seller's communication was exceptional and provided a lot of information which is greatly appreciated. I purchased it to help with some broken capillaries and varicose veins but haven't tried it as of yet. I will post an update in the future if I have any luck with it.
